There are so many things to be thankful for this year. It hasn’t been an easy year, but there is still so much to thank God for providing – food, shelter, a loving family, supportive fun-loving friends, Mom still being with us, Jon is safe, living in a free country, great weather, and no matter what happens, He doesn’t forsake us. Jim has a new job, my business is growing by leaps and bounds, the kids are amazing, and we have a great dog, too! I’ve met amazingly uplifting people this year and although I stumble and fail all the time, I get to get back up and try again!
Some folks might fuss at all the work to be done on Thanksgiving and preparing for it, but when I even think to whine, I remember what a gift all the food I’m preparing is and how there are some who don’t have that kind of food to prepare, let alone eat.
Some might wish away the week longing for the weekend, but I try to enjoy every day of the week.
Some love to chillax and do nothing, but I revel in the fact I’m physically able to knit, crochet, read, cook, do puzzles, pet the dog, go for a walk and really enjoy life.
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because we really get to take time to realize how great we have it!
