Did you know it’s Anti-Boredom Month?

There are two issues at hand here – your kids’ boredom and your own.  I can’t think of a better way to stop being bored than to find a way to gather friends.  I will be posting here with my ideas for boredom busters!

One great excuse to get together with friends – playing cards!  It’s easy to find rules for games online, or perhaps you can get a book of games to play.  Many books offer up varieties of a familar game you may not know, to mix things up a bit.
Some of our favorites that don’t require a special deck of cards include:  Pitch, Pinochle, Hand and Foot, Whist and Cribbage (although you also need a way to keep score.  A Cribbage board is ideal, but you can do this on paper, too).

Some new ones we picked up that do require a special deck of cards include Hit the Deck and Scrabble Slap.

What are your favorite card games?
